2022 NW/MET Conference Planning Committee

Lewis-Clark State College, North Idaho College, and the University of Idaho partnered to host the 2022 Northwest Managers of Educational Technology (NW/MET) Conference in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Working as part of the conference planning committee, I designed the conference logo, created vendor information packets, and developed both the printed and digital conference programs while collaborating with colleagues across the three institutions to support the successful planning and execution of the conference.

Conference Program

I designed the conference logo, graphics, maps, and overall layout of the conference program for the 2022 Northwest Managers of Educational Technology (NW/MET) Conference. The visual design was inspired by the conference location in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, incorporating stylized mountains and a lake to reflect the surrounding landscape. The Coeur d'Alene Resort, the conference venue, is featured on the cover.

The visual theme was carried throughout the publication using consistent headers, footers, icons, maps, and color palettes to create a cohesive and easy-to-navigate document. Organizing a large amount of conference information in a clear, visually engaging format helped attendees quickly locate schedules, session information, and event locations.

MET Money

MET money is the official currency of the NW/MET Conference. Each year, the conference host creates these "fake" bills that are given to the attendees by the venders, and the attendees can then bit on auction items during the last night of the conference. This year, the bills featured an Idaho theme to represent the host location. Different denominations were printed on different colors of paper, with the host schools' "faces" ending up on the $100 bills.

The planning committee was comprised of Cassidy Hall (University of Idaho), Dawn Lesperance (Lewis-Clark State College), Raul Burriel (Oregon State University), Carrie Kyser (Lewis-Clark State College), and Thomas Scott (North Idaho College).

NW/MET 2024

The 2024 NW/MET Conference was hosted by Oregon State University. When the conference planning committee unexpectedly lost its graphic designer late in the production process, the committee chair reached out to me for assistance.

Working within a short timeline and building upon partially completed files, I designed and completed the 30-page conference program for the week-long event. The project required quickly assessing existing materials, establishing a consistent visual style, organizing a large amount of conference information, and delivering a polished publication in time for the conference.

NW/MET 2026

With previous experience designing the NW/MET conference program and now joining the organization's executive board, I was asked to design the 2026 conference program for the annual conference hosted at the University of Utah.

Working within the existing conference branding, I designed the cover artwork, page layouts, session schedules, maps, icons, and supporting graphics used throughout the publication.

The program was designed to organize a large amount of information into a format that was visually engaging, easy to navigate, and practical for attendees throughout the conference.
